An interesting note for you. Once I've finished reading the Hemingway book, (currently at a the pace of 15 minutes after getting in following night shifts) I'll do a review, where I will mention and show a pristine, personal check from 1975. Either the recipient never read the book, thus never cashing it, or simply chose not to. I think the book-gift was set aside and the recipient lost out on a fantastic read, and $5 in 1975 which is probably about $500 today.
