Aww.. what a beautiful telling. My mothers name was Jutka and I remember a Hungarian family friend, the mother who knew everything about everybody telling me how she helped my mother learn English. She would put one hand over mine then the other under my chin and re-enact the lessons. “I would hold her like this and move her mouth and say “Judy, Judy, Judy!” I hadn’t thought of that in 30 years I dare say.
