Cool. You're right, I didn't know about Leo the Great, but since I am currently at my mom's, I asked her. She recited the deal between Attila and the Pope but added that it wasn't simply his holy intervention that saved Rome, but an agreement accepted by Leo to pay Attila a great ransom to save Rome.
