Crushing. I'm so sorry for your family's loss, Michele. I know this all too well. We had the same with our Jackboy. Vet came to the house, same delicate, heart wrenching goodbye. The only difference was Jackboy, a white Shepherd was larger and the vet and her assistant had him wrapped up and in big zip up bag when the took him away. My girls couldn't let him go after he was gone. Hugging and petting and crying.
