1. I-don’t-want-these-stupid-boobs-to grow-up period. (11–13 years old.) Oh, I still remember how ashamed I was of the funny buds under the largest possible t-shirts I used to wear. At that time I admired boys. I wanted to be a boy. I had my hair short and I took karate lessons. I’d constantly look at my arms to see if there weren’t any proper boyish muscles growing. Nothing. Instead, there were proper girlish things growing.
