Did they all make it home from Vietnam?

There is always an audience for stories of service. People don't--can't understand what it is to have THAT job as your 9-5. I have the highest regard for those who serve. It's a tremendous thing.

I would certainly work on that/those books. If not as a memoir, then a good base for fiction or creative nonfiction, which is now a genre.

In 'Matterhorn', the author paints a much more "in it" picture of the troops in "the crotch" than movies depict. I was left feeling a bit hollowed out by some of the details, and they haven't even gotten into serious combat yet.

Thanks Dale. A good writer is someone with the natural voice that holds your attention whatever the topic--you've got it. Keep writing!
