Thanks for this piece. I've only recently begun writing for public consumption and personal ego stroking. I started on Vocal media in March and Medium in May. This whole content thing drives me crazy. First of all, I need income. Everything is hashed out in pieces I've published on Medium. Point is I need to generate some $ because things are going to get ugly, quick. Now, to the content creators. I want to freelance as it seems it can pay okay. Yet, I almost feel sick at the thought of pumping more fluff into this tsunami of listicles, how To's, trivia and life hacks. But it pays. So I've heard. You cleared it up and I really appreciated someone else just saying what I've been thinking.
