I enjoyed this so much, giving it plenty of time to read and let the pictures build. I like the conclusion, especially in these times when hope, of all things, seems so scarce. You've made the reader feel good, allowing us to nod and smile, thinking, "she will be alright. The boy is going to be fine, and Barry is a good man." These are all important reminders that we are flawed and can all be fooled, no matter how "smart" we are. But once we leave the darkness, the light is there, waiting.
