I like the Autobiographical method. If I ever win the bookshelf battle with my wife, I will do it that way. I had a well organized bookshelf in wonderful hutch with one touch lighting. A small bulb casting amber light across my favorite volumes, but then there were more books and more books and I came back from work one day to find a new hutch and the old one relegated to the basement. My books are now kept in secure crates until I turn the basement into a writers den.
