It was close. Vega's lyrics were much more poetic but her mostly monotone voice lost my interest and the pace of melody was painfully lethargic.

Spektor's lyrics won't be winning high praise from song writer's but her message seemed personal and hopeful. The tune was somewhat catchy though I thought the repetition near the end was too much.

In the end, Spektor wins because her singing has more range and you don't feel droopy after hearing her song vs Vega's.
