I sort of relate when I see my daughter's teammates half-assing the drills. Cutting around the cones, bypassing the obstacles. I tell my kid, don't worry about fast, worry about control. She sticks. The other brats annoy me. But sometimes, unlike yourself, kiddo gets helmet to helmet, and tells them, "if you want to suck forever, keep cheating."
