I struggle to comprehend this book banning is even possible. It's entirely absurd. If the protestors are so vigilant, I would ask them to write a book, which must be better and more relevant to young minds than the ones they want to pull.
Before that, I would require that each of them read each "unacceptable" volume and write an essay supporting their position.
Seeing as it's high school, part of the task is provide all young minds the opportunity to grow, and if you begin cancelling these books, then where is the line of what is acceptable? More importantly, who gets to make those decisions?
and remind them, "Ye, who casts the first stone..."
