I'm not even crazy about remakes. True classics, IMO, ought to be left alone. Do you want to see Vertigo remade? Like West Side Story. I don't want to see a remake. The original is something beautiful, the actors of those days had a class and talent that was different--Natalie Wood is the only Maria for me.

And if you're going to go radically different, then why use the same title. It's either new or it's not.
