It’s funny how this came about. I had a half dozen ideas jotted down for the prompt. Then, the night before writing it, the picture of the flat rock came to mind, with a father and child on it. I began writing it mid afternoon and by supper had the first draft. The rabbit jumped out of nowhere into my lap. The father became the grandfather and Sam became a girl.
This is one of the very stories of mine that I’ve more than once after publishing. I like it.
