I've thought about substack for a long time, and I do follow some folks over there, but, I just can't wrap my head around it making sense. I subscribe to you, lets say, at what $50/yr? 1 writer. It's not feasible to subscribe to more than two maybe. I just don't understand why people would pay for single writer subscriptions? If subscribed to the number of Medium readers I read very consistently, I would be paying many hundreds a year.

For that reason, and that to make it pay, you need to hustle a lot more than Medium, doing notes, newsletters, finding, joining and building communities... not for a person with a full time job.
