How did we get here & am I doing anything right?

Mild Epiphany: “Do you ever get the feeling that you have no clue what you’re doing with life?”

This one is not from me but comes courtesy of a recent Tweet from our resident laugh factory lady, Preeti Ramachandran.

“It’s one day after the other, one step at a time with no real aim or direction?”

Then she answers her query.

“Just me? Okay then.”

In this case, that mild epiphany is funny because it comes from a seasoned adult who’s seen some sh&t, sacrificed, and suffered — for real, in real life.

And not from some hapless, twenty-something Tik Tok “model” with the handle #420GamergurlCosplayGoddess who’s finding life tough going not being able to break the 100K follower mark.

I suspect that Preeti and I share in those moments when we look over our shoulders at the life lived behind us and then get whiplash as we swing back to see where we are today.

I follow that observation with one question.

“How in the hell did I get here?”
