I’m on the cusp! I stand on the edge of fame and fortune! So my wife said.

Coming downstairs from my writing room to refill my coffee, my wife looked at me and proclaimed, “Oh my God, honey! You’re going to be so famous! Look at you! You must be right at the edge of your big breakthrough!”

“What are you talking about?” I asked her.

“It’s 2:30 in the afternoon, and you’re dressed in your housecoat, over top of a t-shirt that’s overtop of a thermal long sleeve, fleece long johns, wearing one purple sock and one green one AND wearing a toque while working upstairs like a crazy artist,” my wife explained. “It’s like those movies where the unknown genius is about to make it big.”

Then, with a peck on the cheek, she added. “Go shower, your daughter will be home soon and there’s no reason to scare the kid.”

There can be no doubt. I am on my way.
