Hitting a Milestone on Medium

Epiphany: My wife poaches a revelation before it’s revealed

It’s been a long haul at the writing desk of late. Hours of studying each and every day to build a new tool box to reinvent myself one more time.

I’m in love with writing but I want writing to love me back. To achieve this I have put my Medium writing on the backburner while I forge ahead, determined to succeed.

The fallout, of course is sacrificing one pursuit for another and my goal of hitting a personal milestone on Medium slowed because of it.

But today…

Revelation: I have hit 1K followers on Medium.

I know many writers here on Medium have thousands of followers, and some have astronomical numbers that baffle my mind.

But for me, 1K was the mark.

Joyous in my achievement, I entered my daughters room and told her the news. She’s a great girl, that kid. She immediately jumped up, shot a double high-five my way then jumped into me for a bear hug and congratulations. It feels wonderful to have your child as your cheerleader.
