What doesn’t kill you only serves to let you know how much abuse you can handle

Epiphany:

A lot of the popular, catchy-gitchy-truth!-sayings are utter bullshit spouted by someone who’s never experienced seriously, completely life-changing, life-threatening scenarios.

Like the one that goes with the subtitle.

“That which doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.”

Said by someone who isn’t in a constant state of terrible health, worse finances and no exit to bright, happy lights. It’s a long freaking tunnel.

Revelation: Stick with the one saying that is a golden goose every time.

“If you don’t know what to say, don’t say anything at all.”

Addendum: If the best you can do is a platitude — then don’t.

BUT

Because I’m generally a positive guy and prefer to give something good rather than send out something bad, I can offer this.

I made fresh cinnamon rolls and adjusted my recipe, making it a few steps easier and getting the rolls even softer. That one is below.
