My 7 Book Treasure For Life On A Desert Island

These seven works would leave me a content castaway

The seven books you’d take to a deserted island prompt was already a difficult challenge. As with most of you voracious readers, selecting a mere seven titles from shelves stogged with favorites is a near impossible task. But, for me, this became even more challenging being away from home and not having the opportunity for a quick visual reference of which books I would pull off my shelf.

On the other hand, this situation also qualifies my selection on a very authentic level. The books I chose are from those lodged in my psyche and soul.

Book 1-The Book.

The Good Word. The Gospel. For me, it would be my newly acquired, updated NIV Bible. Having the Bible with me would be reassuring, inspiring, and motivating to persevere. Plus, whatever a stay on a desert island would bring; famine, abandonment, solitary life, storms, drought, personal highs and lows — well, someone in the Bible has “been there-done that,” and that, along with faith, would help me through.
