Nothing you said is untrue or distorted. Just yesterday my wife and I had a discussion of sexual harrassament and the patriarchal rule with our daughter, about traversing through our adolescent and young adult years in that climate as being the norm. As both my wife and I were in the hospitality industry, women were treated horribly and consistently, and while I never physically harrassed women, as a chef, I sure participated in flirtatious and suggestive language and all the girls wanted was to go to work and earn a paycheck. Men didn't deal with that. Women dealt with and still deal with a lot of shit.
Saying that, I would ask you to apply some understanding of innocence to Freakus. I was the same age and it was the girl of the same age from across the street who sat in my mom's greenhouse with me, and told me to drop my pants and show her my thing. And then she laughed and pointed and ran away, and I was confused and mad. I believe that was just the curiosity of innocent minds, exploring. Sometimes kids can be just kids.
But the rest. Yup. A right to be concerned.
