…ere has been a move toward a mashup of sorts that combines an older hymn with a more modern chorus. Some critics complain that the use of electric guitars and drums by so-called praise bands during the service make the congregation spectators rather than participants. Clearly such critics have never been to a Springsteen concert (the greatest revival meeting you’ll ever attend, by the way).

Our church has a wonderful ensemble with electric guitar, bass and drums, and they are fantastic. Mind you, no AC/DC but it certainly adds and I haven't heard any complaints.
