In my experience with women, I have found that, as a whole, certain things resonate with them in the instant and remain evergreen. The following is a short list of a few such standards stamped on their lovely hearts.

  1. Wild Horses. In any frame. Extra points go to wild roses running on the beach — double points for wild horses running on the beach in the rain.
  2. Rain.
  3. Break up, heartbroken, mournful songs of missed, lost, abused, neglected love.

A good breakup song from a female artist is fantastic; just look at Miley Cyrus’ — Flowers.

And her predecessor, Alanis Morissette, on giving the middle finger to a jerk ex-boyfriend via You Oughta Know.
