Go away, You went away, and Come away — a trio of women with different voices of love
As Big Squishy Heart day gets closer, I thought of the different messages we receive about love.
I began with country music and cowboys, singing about a good love, a good girl, and a good boy.
Afterward, I decided to give fair play for both sides of the field and set to follow the boy’s ballads with ladies lamenting on love. Then leave it up to you to decide which music meets your love bug.
For the rules for Rate-a-Record, I’m plagiarizing myself from the Valentine’s Version 1.
If you are not familiar with Rate-a-Record, it is quite simple. Instigated by the troubadour of tunes, Terry Barr and constantly fed by the Papa’s of Prompts Paul Combs and Pierce McIntyre, it’s an offering of two (or more) tunes for readers to listen to and review. The ratings work off of the American Bandstand scale of 35–98.
