So true-age and relationships. Two weeks ago a former colleague with whom I've kept contact was the go-between for an opening at a company we had both done consulting work with years ago. I got an interview but was told they had over 30 applications for one seat. To my surprise, a week later they offered me the position. So, now I'll be back in the game, happy for the $ but that's about it. Good luck out there.
