That was unfortunate and the stress must have been sickening. It's so curious to look back and understand that each of those past events led to where one is at present, and any deviation would have changed the path forward. It's not easy to reconcile, when some of those events caused such pain.

And yet, here you are and live is wonderful in ways you would never change.

Even more unfortunate is that your ex never evolved in step with you and the marriage.
