That’s a good reminder. One of my most impactful interactions was with a colleague years ago. Just before Christmas he called me. Out of the blue. He was alone, estranged from his family and spiralling. It was a long talk and I insisted he come over Christmas. In the end he changed plans but we’ve been friends online now much longer than we worked together.
