That's a nice summary, Debra. I've never been one for the stats, or the algorithm, or now, even the boost. I write what I want, how I want and it seemed to work out well with a nice package of boosted stories.

Investigating what passes and doesn't is tricky and distracting for me. I've had ones boosted that I never gave second thought to, then I've submitted real gut-punches that I thought should have a good chance, and crickets--like my most recent memoir to NA.

It's helpful to know what seems to work but I think the focus should be on writing well and let the rest take care of itself.
