Robert the Bruce is wrongly portrayed as feckless, weak, and traitorous when in fact he not only never betrayed William Wallace, it was he who was given the title “Braveheart.” The most laughable error is the romance between Wallace and King Edward II’s wife Isabella: at the time of their liaison in the film, Isabella was only three years old, and she was only nine when Wallace died. So no, William Wallace is not the father of King Edward III.
