Here’s one reason I won’t sit through credits: Photographs or footage of the real person or people on whom the film is based. Such cliché shorthand increasingly annoys me. Seeing dodgy home video footage containing the normally much less attractive real people detracts from the immersive illusion of easy-on-the-eye actors and actresses, not to mention the well-lit and directed façade in which we have just emotionally invested. It undermines the dramatic experience.
