This article is both disturbing and just. To clarify there is nothing offensive or misguided in the author's piece--she's 100% in the right to hold this perspective. Anyone who backs "those" men who are abusers, and attack the author, are not only wrong but the seed of the problem and I hope they don't have children, boys to continue teaching abuse and disrespect of women, or girls who you have already devalued.
Oh and don't worry, woman hating doesn't have to be expressed with violence. It begins in the schoolyard, playground or sports. When a boy won't include a girl on equal footing, when they won't pass the ball or whatever to a girl. At that young age, that boy has already been taught and learned, and believes that girls have less value and deserve disrespect.
Bullying, power, control, oppression, discrimination, exclusion are all precursors to male violence against women. Thankfully not all those boys will grow up to harm women, but most will think a little abuse is okay.
There is nothing anyone can say here that justifies abuse against women. Nothing. You are wrong. Wrong in the worst way. There is no excuse. None. Zero justification.
As a husband and father to a daughter my capacity for violence is reserved for abusers and should my wife or daughter become preyed upon by the weakness of men, my judgement will be swift, and unequivocally harsh.
What Rhoda has suffered and survived tears my soul and makes me ill. I am so very sorry, Rhoda and you have my support in hating men. You are absolutely right, men get away with shit all the time. All the fucking time. Protected by a system built to protect abusers. And men, if you open your eyes and can see past your ego, you'll see how rampant, promoted and supported this entitled attitude is.

I don't often react emotionally but Rhoda's anger is palpable and I would even say she hasn't gone far enough. All I have to do is imagine Rhoda was my wife or daughter and I'm black with rage.
To those men whining, making dumb comparisons to race or other, you're an embarrassment to real men. You haven't evolved from your monkey brain origins. You're not even smart enough to be ashamed of yourself. How dare you even consider you have a word to say against this woman. You weak, scared little soldiers. Keep marching to your drum and bang it loud so it's clear to the rest of us know just who you are so that my daughter can identify, hate you as well and know she's right to give you the respect you deserve--which is none at all. Your father was to some degree an asshole and your mother suffered for it, and you men weren't smart enough to learn from either, you just swallowed it up while walking around masturbating.
