We have Magpies here but I don't know of these superstitions! Please enlighten me!

…, you might suspect that I’m superstitious. Only observe my daily life: I’m touching wood for luck, counting magpies or saluting lone ones, and crossing my fingers in the hope that something will / will not happen, there’s evidence aplenty…
