We have such wonderful folk tales from our home countries. The first story I ever wrote was Hungarian folk tale. It was raw and not very good writing but still, my daughter loved the story. I should dust off my hardcover folktales book and see if I can honour my ancestors as well as you have here. A beautiful story and message.
