Yes, and there ought to be.

If you write copy, like I do, intermittently as a freelance writer, that stuff qualifies as lower on the rung than creative narratives, memoirs, fiction, self-reflection, discussion pieces (like this one), actual historical pieces, (not listicle trivia) art, poetry, book and movie reviews, etc.

Writing copy is generally tedious, dull and uninspiring. It's a grind. I don't bring work home, and this place is home.

Money shyster-How much I earned writing 50 articles in a month, How I got 500 followers in a week, Crypto and the infiltration of AI pieces hold far less value.

The algo and Medium is going to do what it's going to do. If you're writing to appease those, good for you but it's not very authentic.
