You're review is very good, and correct that Pugh was excellent, and I am surprised that you're not automatically gushing over Watson, who, beyond the Potter years, has not been very impressive.

Ronan is excellent, but I hold to my opinion that the cast, with the exception of Streep, Dern and Pugh are complete letdowns. I saw no chemistry between the girls and Chamalet, and only Pugh managed to pull it together.

what about the ending? The editor telling Jo how to end her book?

I didn't go all the way back to '33, maybe sometime, but out of the three I watched, '19 was very disappointing.
